Critical Care Nursing

Critical care nursing deals specifically with life-threatening health problems. Critically ill patients are defined by the AACN as being at high risk for actual or potential life-threatening health problems. Therefore, critical care nurses provide “intense and vigilant” nursing care. Critical Care Nurses work in ICU providing the serious care to the patients in an emergency. Some Critical Care Nurse also works in wards or units that take care of patients with specific medical problems, such as critical care burn units

  • Brain death, Organ donation, and Transplantation
  • Trauma Nursing
  •  Accidents and Emergency Nursing
  • Acute respiratory failure and Ventilation
  •  Acute Renal Failure and Hemofiltration
